Timeline & Communication

Our estimated turnaround time is 6 months. This timeframe will fluctuate depending on the season, but we never compromise on the quality of our work. Your flowers are in expert hands, and we will deliver them back to you as soon as possible, but don’t expect a rushed job. Quality takes time.

You'll receive an email at each key stage of the process:

1-4 Days After Your Event : Drop Off or Mail Your Flowers

Your flowers need to arrive at our studio within 5 days of your event! Whether you're shipping them or dropping them off in person, the sooner they arrive, the better condition they will be in for pressing.

1-8 Weeks After Your Event : Preservation and Drying

Within a few days of arrival, we press your bouquet and let it dry for at least six weeks. Each flower dries at its own pace, but we keep them in the presses for a minimum of 6 weeks to ensure every bloom is fully dry and paper-thin, preventing potential mold in the future.

8-12 Weeks After Your Event : Reconstruction and Color Correction

After drying, we carefully reconstruct your flowers, restoring their natural shape. For delicate blooms like whites and light pinks, we may apply subtle color correction to keep them looking as true to their original form as possible and prevent fading over the years.

12-18 Weeks After Your Event : Design

Using your design preferences as a guide, we carefully arrange your bouquet and send a mockup for your approval. You’re welcome to make as many changes as needed until the layout perfectly reflects your vision.

18-22 Weeks After Your Event : Finishing Touches

Once the design is finalized, we glue your flowers in layers over several days to ensure a durable, long-lasting hold. Then, we seal your frame and carefully package your piece for pickup or shipment, ready to be displayed and cherished forever.

Updates Throughout

You’ll receive email updates as your flowers move through each stage of the process, so you can rest assured that progress is being made. The reconstruction and design phases are the longest part, and once your flowers reach this stage your name and order number will appear on our Frame Queue, which is updated weekly. You’re welcome to check the queue as often as you like to follow along with your order’s progress.

All communication will be sent to the email you provided at checkout. To ensure you don’t miss an update, please mark our email address as “not spam” and add us to your safe senders list. If you’d like to update your email on file, simply reach out to us at hello@peachypetalsco.com.

Design Mockup & Feedback

When your layout is ready, we’ll send you a design mockup by email. You’ll have the opportunity to request changes until your frame feels just right. Please reply promptly - delays in communication will delay your frame.

If we don’t hear back within 8 weeks, we’ll finalize your design as-is to keep your order moving forward. Before that point, we’ll make multiple attempts to reach you, including by phone or text.

You’re always welcome to email us with questions at any time - we know this is a long process, and we want you to feel informed and supported every step of the way!

Flower Selection

See below for some our our favorite (and least favorite!) flowers, as well as other things to keep in mind when designing your bouquet if you plan to preserve it.

Variety is KEY!

Combining large blooms like peonies or roses with smaller filler flowers such as spray roses or ranunculus adds depth and character to your pressed piece. Adding pops of color can also bring energy and personality to the final design.

Don’t overlook the greenery. Textured elements like pennycress, thistle, or amaranthus press beautifully and help create a balanced, dimensional frame. These thoughtful additions can elevate the entire piece.

Colorful Flowers We Love

These flowers hold their pigment well and are often our most used when designing a piece.

White Flowers We Love

We color correct our white flowers so they stay bright over time, but these are a few we particularly love! The key to a gorgeous all white piece is variety.

Flower to Avoid

We can preserve mums & lisianthus flowers, though they tend to be a bit finicky and often experience noticeable color changes during the drying process. We CANNOT include the following elements in your frame: brunia balls, pinecones, poppy pods, or thick branches (like curly willow).

Frame Ordering Guide

Below is a guide that will help you understand what amount of flowers or size bouquet we need for each frame, as well as some FAQs regarding frame sizing. We always recommend sending more flowers rather than fewer! This gives us the flexibility to pick the best of the best to be featured in your frame.

  • Petite Bouquet

Comparable in size to a single bridesmaid’s bouquet.

    Best For : 8x10 (partial preservation), 11x14

  • Standard Bouquet

Most bridal bouquets and centerpieces fall into this standard size range.

Best For : 11x14 (partial preservation), 16x20, 18x24 (may need extras)

  • Large Bouquet

Extra-full arrangements such as oversized bridal bouquets, aisle liners, or tall table centerpieces.

    Best For : 16x20 (partial preservation), 18x24

How many flowers do you need for ____ frame size?

8x10 or 8x8 → Best for corsages, boutonnières, or selected highlights from a standard bouquet.

11x14 or 12x12 → Works well for a petite bouquet or partial preservation of a standard bouquet

16x16 → Ideal for a standard bouquet with a rounded or symmetrical shape.

16x20 → Our most popular choice for a standard to large bridal bouquet. If your bouquet is airy or looking rough, consider providing a few extra blooms for fullness.

18x24 → Best for large bouquets or standard bouquet plus additional flowers (like a bridesmaid’s bouquet or centerpiece).

Add-ons (extra frames, resin pieces, ornaments, ring dishes): If you’re purchasing multiple add-ons, please provide extra florals to ensure we have enough for both your frame and the add-ons. Bridesmaids bouquets are the PERFECT supplement for large orders.

I want to save as much of my bouquet as possible - what size should I get?

Unless you have requested a small or particularly airy bouquet from your florist, our 16×20 frame is a great place to start. When you drop off or ship your flowers, please indicate you would like to upgrade if possible. Once we see your bouquet, we will let you know if our 18×24 is a good fit.

Can I change my frame size after ordering?

Yes, you can upgrade to a larger frame size anytime before your event by emailing us at hello@peachypetalsco.com. Please note that downgrades to a smaller size are not possible.

If you’d like to purchase add-on products, simply add them to your cart and check out using the same name and email as your original order.

All upgrades and add-ons must be completed before your event (or at the time of drop-off/shipping). We press flowers according to the frame size purchased, and once pressing is complete, we cannot guarantee the option to upgrade to a larger frame.

What happens if my flowers arrive and my bouquet is too small or too damaged for the frame size that I purchased?

If your bouquet arrives and it is too small or damaged for the size you purchased, don’t worry! We will reach out to you as soon as we assess the flowers and discuss the best options moving forward. This may include adjusting the design, supplementing with similar flowers from our stock pile (if possible), or selecting a different size to ensure the best final piece. Our goal is to create a beautiful keepsake, and we’ll work with you to find the best solution!

Realistic Expectations

Flowers are fleeting, and that’s part of their beauty. When we preserve your bouquet, we use natural methods that honor the blooms as they truly were. Some colors will shift in the press, and over time gentle fading will occur. Rather than disguising these changes, we embrace them as part of the art. Your frame is made to evolve gracefully, becoming a living memory that ages alongside the love it was created to celebrate.

Colors Will Change In The Press AND over time!

We use all-natural drying and pressing methods to capture your bouquet as it truly was, not as a painted replica. Some delicate blooms, like whites and pale pinks, may receive subtle color correction, but natural shifts in color and texture will still occur over time AND in the press.

Just like wood darkens, leather softens, and old photographs fade, your frame will age gently. There’s beauty in watching a piece of your personal history evolve alongside the relationship it was created to celebrate.

See below for examples of flowers transforming in the press. Notice the pigment of certain flowers shifting either darker or lighter - all part of mother nature's grand plan for your blooms!!
